Well it is time to confess up and see how well I did with the first Quarter of the FAL with Leanne.
I only had four items on my list but somehow I seem to have mixed results.
First up was the outstanding bag for Liz. This was how it looked at the beginning of the FAL.
And it was completed - hurray!Bag for Liz |
Second on my list was a quilt for my son as he was turning 18yrs old. This had to be a finish too. I was really pleased with how it turned out.
Birthday quilt |
The third item was a quilt that has been in the making for nearly a year now. I fell in love with the prints all over again and it was so nearly finished except I got sick and somehow missed two weeks of life. This is a fail but it won't really take long to finish in the next quarter.
Not there yet! |
The final item on my list was the UJ flag quilt. Let's just say that I managed one seam and then put it down! This is a definite fail! I have the three UJs made. They just need to be put together!
Work in progress |
All in all, that is 2 out of 4. I really thought that it would be 3 out of 4 but illness got in the way. Time always seems to be in short supply!
At least you tried to get a few things done. Love the Lotta quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou did well to get 2 completed on top of feeling rough! I love that bag!
ReplyDeleteYou've got to concentrate on getting better before you tackle the rest of your list but I think you've done really well because there's a lot of work in the projects you finished and it sounds like the other two things have really moved on. Roll on an early finish in Q2!
ReplyDeletethat bag is outstanding yes. And clearly so is everything else. Good job x
ReplyDeleteWow Di! I love the UJ - can't wait to see it finished!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are great projects and I love that bag :)
ReplyDeleteI think you did brilliantly, and Lizs bag IS stunning in real life as is the birthday quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou did great Di with the FAL! Love that bag!!
ReplyDeleteYou did so well, the bag is lovely and the quilt is gorgeous, love that design!
ReplyDeleteThe Union Flag looks pretty good to me...
Wow Di you have done so well! The tote for Liz is a real cracker. Love all your makes - roll on Q2!
ReplyDeleteFantastic finishes Di. And the best bit is that you are now feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove the Echo quilt, and you already know that I adore Liz's bag, she has to lock it away when I visit :) x
ReplyDeleteI love what you did finish, and love what you didn't; you'll have 2 easy hits in Q2 x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects - I love the bag too and the Lotta quilt, and I'm having problems with a UJ quilt at the moment!
ReplyDeleteWhat you did finish is beautiful and so will those that you didn't quite get to. Life sometimes throws the odd curve ball to disturb our plans. Just add them to the next qtr's list and enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteDon't knock progress! Well done Di!
ReplyDeleteTwo out of four is better than none out of four! I think you did really well and I'm sure you'll finish the last two during the next FAL. Life can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes...
ReplyDeleteYou did great, I love that quilt you made for your son!
