A busy (non-sewing) week

I am linking up with Lily's Quilts Small Blog Meet as it is April 1st.

March has just gone in a flash and I don't think that I have an awful lot of sewing to show.

I have been really busy this week with my boys having concerts, a university info evening and a grade 8 Sax exam. On Friday, we took my younger boy to south west London in order to get the coach to go ski-ing with a group. The upside of this is that my hubby and I had a night away in London. We had a really chilled time and enjoyed the nice weather on Friday evening. I had a shopping morning before lunch, and then we went to the Wellcome Institute for a wander and a cup of tea. The downside of a busy week is that there has been very little sewing taking place. On Friday morning I decided that I needed a bag to put my overnight toiletries into, so I sewed up this little drawstring bag.
What have I made this past month? Well there was this...
Psychedelic quilt
My psychedelic quilt is now all basted and ready to quilt. Hopefully this will be done the second week of the Easter holiday. I have also done a quilting for texture course so I can now think beyond the straight line quilting approach. Perhaps this... or this...
I am getting an idea of what I would like to do and have bought the thread ready for doing it!
I made my Mum a Mothering Sunday present of a sewing roll and a drawstring bag.

I have also done another couple of blocks for my patchwork class (more on these next week).

Finally, I have made a sewing roll for myself and tried a little EPP.

Now if there is anyone out there who can tell me how to put all these photos into a snazzy grid, I would be very grateful to be told how to!!!

  3. Lots and lots of loveliness! And the mosaic you can do over at BigHugeLabs.com and use their mosaic maker. You select the size you want, can browse either your PC or flickr and then upload and when you're done press the button and go! I save mine to both my PC and to Flickr :) Now go play!

  7. Great March makes Di! Glad you had a nice Friday evening away. Like Trudi I use the BIg HugeLabs mosaic maker - it's quite straightforward even for a technophobe like me.

  8. Stopping by via Lily's Quilts. Your projects look great. I haven't made a mosaic of craft projects for my blog yet but I have made collages from pictures of my kids using Picasa and find it very straightforward.
